Back from my homeland and thanks to so many of you for following along my African adventure. (when I had the occasional signal to post anything LOL)
.
There were many highs and lows as we travelled back for the first time in 23 years after our home was taken away from us.
.
I saw friends and family I had not seen in over 24 years and we visited my childhood home.... which was totally ruined and destroyed.
.
I thank God for this opportunity that we had to travel back as a family and have these amazing experiences to create these memories.
.

I was able to show my children where I went to Boarding school; and lived my childhood school years. The grounds were still as beautiful as ever!And of course, we saw so many amazing animals in the wild.

Nothing like waking up on the houseboat at Christmas to baby elephants playing on the bank and watching hippos fight in the water.
.
Gods' creations for sure!
Thank you all for being so supportive to me and my family.
.
I know many of you have heard small parts of my life story and have listened and learnt from my experience and showed so much compassion.
.
I know I will continue to share my healing and growth from this trip!!

Now back to real life!!!!

Extreme highs and incredible lows. God has weaved them all together this Africa trip and so thankful we had this opportunity to do it with my family. We experienced so much of His beauty.

23 years ago we were forced to leave our home and this was out first time back. We saw our house destroyed and derelict. Sadness, shock and numb.
.
Much healing and processing ahead of us all.

School starting, the snow melting and getting caught up on all laundry 🙌

In all honesty, I loved the ' extra' week home to decompress, fight the jet lag, and get a little caught up with life.

Thankful for hubby standing by me during this trip and beyond... It was an adventure physically and emotionally for me.

2024 has come and gone. Amazing memories, incredible opportunities, life altering situations, fantastic adventures and seeing my homeland again.

I thank God for what He has done for me and my family, my business and helping me repair a broken past to a continued amazing future. 2025 I am ready for you.

We are incredibly Blessed to be able to spend this special time of Jesus's Birthday in this land he created with our family.

We are in awe of His majestic land. Many tears, experiences and memories being made.

We have had an amazing trip so far. Quite a bumps in the road( and not just pot holes lol )

We have experienced amazing food, a curio market, awesome hospitality, incredible animals, many happy tears, seen family that we haven't seen in over 10 years, and much more to come.

I am still pinching myself that I am home and sharing these experiences with my family.

Headed to bed as tomorrow we have an early morning sunrise cruise on the Zambezi and then visiting Victoria Falls.
